Elza holds a master degree in public health from the Australian National University and and undergraduate degree in medical science from Mulawarman University.
Elza is a quantitative researcher, specialising in public health and social psychology. Her main research interests include health, children & youth and education, food & nutrition and social protection.
Prior to joining SMERU, she worked as a social worker for disabled people in Canberra under Drake International.
Elza was awarded with Indonesia Presidential Scholarship from the Indonesian Endowment Fund for Education under Ministry of Finance in 2016. Her paper on psychological distress, diabetes, and physical functional limitation was accepted and presented in Australasian Epidemiology Association (AEA) and The 45 and Up Conferences.
