Selly joined SMERU in 2014 as a quantitative researcher. Her main interests lie in the field of health, specifically maternal and child health, universal health coverage, and health policy.

As a researcher, Selly is involved in the entire research process from developing research design and instruments, collecting and analyzing data, to producing research reports. When working on a study that examines agricultural labor practices, Selly led the quantitative team to collect data on child labor and safe working practices from approximately 500 farmers in four tobacco-growing locations in Indonesia.

Prior to joining SMERU, she was a teaching assistant at the Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Indonesia, and worked as a layout designer at Kesmas Journal of Public Health, Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Indonesia.
