Teachers are the main actors in education. One of the challenges in improving the quality of education in Indonesia is the difficulty in recruiting qualified teachers. Another challenge is the government needs to have a sustainable system to develop teachers competence. Considering the importance of an effective recruitment system and teacher development system in improving the quality of learning, The SMERU Research Institute seeks to raise discussions about the importance of this process from various perspectives of researchers and policymakers through organizing the Forum Kajian Pembangunan (FKP) seminar.
