Delbert received his master’s degree (with distinction) in Economics for Development from the University of Oxford and his bachelor’s double degree in Economics from Universitas Indonesia and the University of Melbourne with first class honours.
Delbert is a quantitative researcher for RISE (Research on Improving System of Education) Programme in Indonesia. He is currently involved in two research projects on the impact of COVID-19 on learning outcomes and the determinants of diffusion of education policies.
Delbert was a quantitative researcher intern at SMERU. Prior to returning to SMERU, Delbert worked at Deloitte Indonesia as part of the Corporate Development and Strategy Advisory team.
Delbert has received several scholarships for his studies: he received the LPDP Scholarship from the Indonesian government to pursue his master’s studies, the Bachelor of Commerce Global Scholarship Award to pursue his undergraduate studies in Australia, and the Melbourne Global Scholars Award for his study abroad at the London School of Economics. He also graduated with the top 5 GPA in the International Class of the Faculty of Economics of Universitas Indonesia, and received the Dean’s Honours List awards for being in the top 3% of performers at the University of Melbourne.
