SMERU’s response to the COVID-19 Pandemic

Dear SMERU partners,
With the COVID-19 declared as a global pandemic and considering that the situation calls for the commitment of all parties to prevent the spread of the virus, between 16 and 28 March 2020, The SMERU Research Institute will take the following measures:
  1. Instruct a majority of its staff to work from home;
  2. Reschedule most meetings and discussions that involve many people or conduct them virtually;
  3. Apply the principle of social distancing and the protocol for the prevention of the spread of COVID-19 in all activities and social interactions; and
  4. To resolve various commitments and ensure ease of communication, the SMERU office will operate from 9.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. (Monday–Friday), with limited supporting staff and by applying standard safety measures in the work place.
This policy will be reviewed on 28 March 2020 by taking into consideration the latest situation of the COVID-19 pandemic.
