In commemoration of its 20-year journey, The SMERU Research Institute (SMERU) is holding a series of discussions to share experiences and broaden dialogue regarding the role of nongovernmental think tanks and the efforts needed to build an ecosystem conducive to the development of nongovernmental think tanks in the socio-humanities, in particular the socioeconomic, sector. The series of discussions will begin with the launch of the book "20 Tahun SMERU: Perjalanan Membangun Indonesia Melalui Penelitian Kebijakan Promasyarakat Miskin" and a talk show on "The Role of Independent Think Tanks in Evidence-Based Policymaking".
