Our Funding

SMERU receives funding from various sources. When we were first established, our core funding was provided by the Ford Foundation, AusAID, and DFID. Over time, we have been able to increase our financial independency with an increasing share of funding from competitive research grants and specific research projects.

If you are interested in funding SMERU or wish to collaborate with SMERU for a research grant, please contact Hesti Marsono at hesti@smeru.or.id.

Financial Audit Report

In an effort to maintain the Institute’s transparency and accountability, each year SMERU appoints an independent public accounting firm to perform a financial audit. Conducted since SMERU’s establishment in 2001, the audits are based on standards set by the Indonesian Institute of Public Accountants. SMERU's financial report is prepared in accordance with Financial Accounting Standards Statement (PSAK) No. 45 on Financial Reporting for Non-Profit Organizations and is detailed in the audit report. SMERU’s audit reports are provided below.
