Gabe is an editor and translator at the Publications Department. He ensures the overall quality of reports, papers, and briefs produced by the SMERU researchers by checking and correcting spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors. Gabe also reviews the English and Indonesian translations’ accuracy, readability, and acceptability. He makes certain that the publications adhere to SMERU’s style guide.

Prior to joining SMERU in early 2023, Gabe worked as a freelance translator for eight years, working on translation projects for various ministries, think tanks, nongovernmental organizations, higher education institutions, and multinational companies. In 2022, he was chosen as a translator in one of the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative’s (UNEP FI) projects in Indonesia.
