Internship
Are you looking for an on-the-job experience of working at a leading research institute?
SMERU opens internship programs based on its project/operational needs, ranging from research assignments to other roles in the research sector.
Interns will gain experience researching socioeconomic and poverty issues, preparing research publications, organizing research-related events, or learning about nonprofit business development.
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Enrolled in the final year of a bachelor’s/master’s/Ph.D. program or holding at least a bachelor’s degree in social science or other fields relevant to SMERU’s work
- Have good academic performance, as demonstrated by recent university academic transcript
- Willing to commit to the internship program for a minimum of six weeks
International students may apply for this internship.

In supporting the Kampus Merdeka initiative launched by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, SMERU opens its internship program for partnership with universities across Indonesia. For more information on this partnership, please email smeru@smeru.or.id.
Students of universities that have signed memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with SMERU can contact their respective universities to apply for an internship at SMERU.
SMERU will select interns whose qualifications match the current project/operational needs.
