Heru’s role is to ensure that the quality of SMERU’s publications are of the highest technical standards. His responsibility ranges from layout and designing SMERU’s publication items, as well as preparing and controlling the quality of SMERU’s final documents for publication and printing.

Heru works in close collaboration with SMERU editors during all stages of SMERU publication processes and performs other tasks assigned by the Publications Section head.

Heru also collaborates with the Communications Section on the design of SMERU’s promotional materials, such as posters, banners, and brochures.

In addition to his computer science background, Heru is also trained in graphic and web design. Before joining SMERU as a publications and distribution officer in 2013, Heru worked on the design, layout, and distribution of publications at the LBH APIK institute.
