This paper provide a long-term overview of numeracy and literacy standards and trends among 15-year-old Indonesians using an international test, spanning 2003–2015. We find that improvements in learning levels are too small to justify the significant investments that the country has undertaken.
This study finds that Jabodetabek’s poverty profile is significantly different from the national one, in particular in terms of educational attainment, access to drinking water, employment sector, and employment status.
