This report presents the results of a pilot study to apply a recently developed technique for obtaining high-resolution poverty maps, using data from three provinces in Indonesia: Jakarta, East Java, and East Kalimantan.
The present study finds, not only that the poverty rate increased significantly, but also that much of the increase was due to a large increase in the chronic poor category.
