Dynamics of Inequality and Livelihoods in Rural Areas in Indonesia

Reducing inequality in rural areas is urgent and understanding inequality in those areas is necessary to support rural community empowerment which the government and its development partners are in full support of. The SMERU Research Institute, with the support from Yayasan TIFA, conducted a study on inequality in rural areas in Indonesia. The event was held to disseminate the study findings, so that activists and policymakers working on issues of rural areas, poverty, inequality, and people’s empowerment could benefit from and utilize them in their work.
