Research results can provide critical input in policymaking. For this reason, SMERU does not limit its activities to only research. SMERU also builds good relations with policymakers at ministries and institutions as well as local governments to get its research to contribute to policymaking.
This month, for example, SMERU researchers presented the results of a study on improving digital skills in a ministerial lecture organized by the Ministry of Labor and Brawijaya University, Malang. On another occasion, the SMERU team also met with BRIN Education Research Center representatives to discuss opportunities for future collaboration.
We feature news from SMERU’s various research topics in this issue, including menstrual hygiene management and unpaid care work.
We hope the stories in Nawala SMERU will inspire you.
