Fauzan Kemal Musthofa
Kemal is a junior quantitative researcher. He is responsible for assisting SMERU researchers in quantitative data collection and analysis. His main research interests include inequality and poverty, behavioral economics, and sustainable development. Since joining SMERU, Kemal has worked on several survey instrument designs and primary data analysis activities, one of which is a nationally representative COVID-19 impact survey.
Prior to joining SMERU, Kemal worked as a research assistant at Yayasan Inobu, an NGO specializing in sustainable agricultural sector policies. At that time, he analyzed oil palm farmers in Central Kalimantan and monitored nutmeg price in Fakfak, West Papua. Kemal also assisted several projects at Lembaga Demografi FEB UI and International Growth Centre, including developing survey instrument designs and conducting data cleaning and analyses.
