Lia is a quantitative researcher with interests in various topics, including public health, environmental health, education, poverty, climate change, and inequality. 

Prior to joining SMERU, Lia was a project associate/data system analyst at Chapin Hall, an independent policy research center at the University of Chicago. At Chapin Hall, she performed data analysis, data management, and quantitative research in various areas, including education, criminal and juvenile justice, public health, early childhood programs, and child welfare systems.

Previously, she worked at the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University as a research assistant at the cardiology unit to study the collaboration among hospital providers in terms of patient outcomes. Before pursuing her master’s degree in the United States, Lia worked at Statistics Indonesia.
