SMERU’s initiation to provide research-based evidence to this policy discourse is also motivated by direct communication with several e-commerce companies that approach SMERU for commissioning study on measuring the social impact of their operations, as well as interaction with various startup companies.
The abundance of small enterprises in developing countries has led to debates regarding the role that of entrepreneurial skill in business performance. Analyses of the skills and characteristics important for success can inform entrepreneurship training programs or educational curricula designed to increase the number of successful entrepreneurs.
The objective of this study is to develop concrete recommendations on suitable livelihood opportunities for PKH recipient families, as well as the institutional arrangements and delivery systems to ensure PKH families can access these opportunities.
Even though the quantity and quality of Indonesia’s research continue to increase, many research findings have not been used to formulate public policy. We view that it is important to use evidence and recommendations from a research study to enrich stakeholders’ perspective in policymaking that would impact the welfare of many people’s lives.
