Disability Inclusion in Development

Saturday, March 14, 2020

(This webinar is only available in Indonesian)

People with disabilities are very vulnerable to being excluded from fully enjoying the fruit of development and opportunities to actively participate in the development. Moreover, many households having members with disabilities belong to the low-welfare group. Realizing inclusive development for people with disabilities is one of the principles in the development framework of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Meanwhile, Indonesia ratified the UN Convention on the Rights of People with Disabilities in 2011 and passed the Disability Law in 2016. The seminar discussed the current condition of people with disabilities and the strategies going forward to realize inclusive development in Indonesia.
