Pranindiska Nurlistyo Naistana

Junior Researcher
About

Diska is a junior quantitative researcher with a strong interest in gender, labor, poverty, and inequality issues. At SMERU, she contributes to various studies in development economics, supporting the quantitative research process from end to end. Her work includes research design and questionnaire development, data cleaning and analysis, and the presentation of findings in research reports.

Her interest in development issues is also reflected in her academic research. Her undergraduate thesis examines the impact of co-residence with parents or parents-in-law on the labor force participation of married women, using a quantitative approach.

Prior to joining SMERU, Diska worked as a market researcher at NielsenIQ. This experience strengthened her quantitative data analysis skills and deepened her understanding of economic dynamics, which in turn shaped her interest in research in development economics.

In 2020, Diska was selected as one of Indonesia’s delegates to the International Economics Olympiad, where she earned a bronze medal. During her undergraduate studies, she also actively participated in and won various academic competitions at both the university and national levels. She completed her undergraduate degree in 2024 with cum laude honors.
