Ratri has been the head of SMERU’s communications team since 2018. Her primary role is to develop and implement effective communication strategies to enhance SMERU’s reputation through publicity, engagement, and networking. She also leads and manages the team responsible for website content and social media, promotion, multimedia communications materials, stakeholder engagement, and building networks.

Ratri also establishes and maintains contacts with the media, policymakers, and SMERU's other stakeholders. She works closely with the Institute's Secretary in carrying out her roles.

Prior to joining SMERU, Ratri worked as a librarian at Paramadina University from 2007 to 2009.
