Happy New Year!

As in previous years, SMERU continues its research activities focusing on poverty and inequality, social protection, and human development. We feature two of them in this month’s Nawala SMERU. The first research is about youth, entrepreneurship, and digitalization, while the second is about a review of the Youth Development Index.

We are also happy to share that SMERU is celebrating its 23rd birthday this January. An age that has seen its share of experiences in the ongoing mission of knowledge production to support public policies.

In carrying out its activities, SMERU has always adhered to the Institute’s policies, one of which is the Preventing Sexual Exploitation, Abuse, and Harassment for all SMERU personnel and partners. This policy reaffirms SMERU’s commitment to implementing zero tolerance approach towards all forms of exploitation, abuse, and harassment.
