This policy brief examines Indonesia’s energy transition goals, focusing on inclusivity and the challenges faced by women and people with disabilities. It highlights current progress, barriers, and the need for targeted policies to ensure equitable access to renewable energy and support for vulnerable groups. Recommendations include increasing access to renewable energy technologies, integrating gender and disability considerations into energy policies, implementing targeted social protection programs, strengthening inclusivity in the Just Energy Transition Partnership (JETP), and improving data availability and research.
