Young people dominate the unemployed group in Indonesia. The 2019 National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas) data shows that three quarter of the unemployed in Indonesia were youth. At the same time, Indonesian youth have shown a great interest in becoming entrepreneurs (U-Report Indonesia, 2019). However, they face challenges in terms of competence, experiences, resources, networking, and family support. These ultimately lead to a gap between entrepreneurship potentials of the youth and their success in running a business. The SMERU Research Institute tried to lead a discussion on the dynamics and challenges of entrepreneurship faced by the youth in the Industrial Revolution 4.0 by organizing Forum Kajian Pembangunan (FKP).
