January holds a special place in the hearts of the SMERU family. It was on this month, 22 years ago, SMERU was officially founded. In this second decade, SMERU will consistently carry out its mission to promote the formulation of pro-poor evidence-based policies for both public and private sectors.

Our activities in 2022 were only possible with the support and cooperation of our national and international partners and donor agencies. I sincerely appreciate and thank you all for our collaboration in 2022. 

SMERU would like to stay connected with its stakeholders. Starting this year, we will send you Nawala SMERU, our monthly newsletter, to inform you of our latest activities and publications. 

May this year we can recover from the COVID-19 pandemic. Together, we will get through this.
