Learning from the management of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, the Indonesian government needs to immediately revise Law No. 24 of 2007 on Disaster Mitigation (Disaster Mitigation Act) in order to strengthen the system of command and authority of the National Agency for Disaster Management (BNPB).
Indonesia’s current digital economy is not inclusive due to many issues. Firstly, the internet and its supporting infrastructure have not been evenly distributed in rural areas, particularly the disadvantaged, frontier, and outermost (3T) regions.
The project aims at developing a grand design, a plan of action, a business process, and standard operating procedure (SOP) for developing regional DTKS.
The partnership between SMERU, as a knowledge producer, and UNICEF, which is focused on child rights advocacy, is expected to provide a stronger and more effective advocacy base for improving child well-being in Indonesia.
