Previous crises have opened a window of opportunity for countries to enact reforms and policies that dramatically expand health coverage and improve the health of their populations. Indonesia has gone through a multitude of crises, especially in the economic sector.
This project seeks to offer a comprehensive analysis of social protection schemes and identify gaps that exclude certain at-risk communities, focusing specifically on Papua, Indonesia’s poorest province.
This study uses mixed methods to examine the challenges and opportunities to improve the quality of education. We analyze secondary data from two national educational assessments (the Assessment Nasional/ AN and the AKMI) to examine student literacy and numeracy outcomes and case studies in two districts in Indonesia.
