The main objective of this initiative is to develop background studies on youth development which will be the basis for an advocacy approach for improving policy environment and direction on issues related to youth in Indonesia’s development in 2025–2045.
A number of studies have discussed the importance of facilitation for improving the outcomes of Social Forestry programs. However, more detailed studies about the SF stakeholders should be prioritized, particularly those related to the types of facilitation among those that work with community forest user groups.
Devolving governance from the state to local communities is an increasing trend in forest and natural resource management. Effective local institutions are widely accepted as being key to the success and sustainability of these governance transitions, but there is limited understanding of how different kind of community institutions evolve with community forestry processes.
This Insight discusses the character education policy within the Indonesian education system, which still faces key challenges to improve learning outcomes.
From our diagnostic of the Indonesian education system, we find that education policymakers and stakeholders in Indonesia perceive that character education can solve societal issues related to moral degradation.
The Indonesian government has laid a solid foundation for digital transformation in the 2020–2024 National Medium Term Development Plan (RPJMN), including efforts to create new unicorns. In addition, the 2020–2024 Ministry of Communication and Information Technology Strategic Plan focuses on developing digital talent and startups (startup companies).
