Nawala SMERU No. 34: November 2025

Dear Readers,

I’m delighted to share that The SMERU Research Institute has been included in On Think Tanks’ “100 Think Tanks to Watch 2025”. This recognition from fellow think tanks and policy professionals across countries strengthens our commitment to continuously improving the quality of our research and our contributions to better public policy.

In line with Indonesia’s green transition agenda, SMERU is currently conducting a three-year study on green jobs in the textile and textile products (TPT) subsector. The insights from this study will inform policy recommendations that support a more resilient and inclusive future for the TPT industry.

To commemorate World Children’s Day, we are sharing a blog on our approach to meaningful child participation in research. We also highlight a journal article examining how food-ordering through super apps impacts public health.

To further support capacity building, the SMERU Learning Centre offers customizable in-house training tailored to your institution’s needs. Please reach out for further consultation.

We appreciate your feedback on Nawala SMERU. Please send comments or questions to comms[at]smeru.or.id.
