Rama joined SMERU in 2018. He is a quantitative junior researcher specializing in economic development. His main research interests include poverty, inequality, and education. He is responsible for data collection and analysis as well as supporting the dissemination of research findings.
Prior to his career at SMERU, Rama was involved as management consultant at KPMG and Deloitte Indonesia for two years, with project clients ranging from private entities, state-owned enterprise, as well as government ministries.
Rama was able to enter the Honours program during his undergraduate years, completing an Honours thesis in Economics titled “Deterioration of Gender Pay Equality in Market Reformed China”.
