This white paper explores the socioeconomic impacts of Indonesia’s energy transition from the perspective of inclusivity. The paper uses modeling to estimate how different climate target scenarios impact poverty and inequality among female-headed households, households with disability, and households with children or older members. It discusses the potential of fiscal stimulus and carbon pricing to address disparities while achieving decarbonization targets.
