The National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN) implements the Family Planning Village (Kampung KB) program to lower birth rate and improve family welfare in Indonesia. In 2020, BKKBN plans to develop Desa (Village of) Bugel in Kabupaten Kulonprogo as the center of excellence of Kampung KB. Desa Bugel will adopt a family welfare improvement model through utilizing household waste management as the flagship product of Kambung KB. Thus, Desa Village can be set as a pilot at the national and international levels.
