Early this year The SMERU Research Institute completed its research on food price volatility. The objective of this research was to document the experiences of the poor in facing sudden and uncertain changes in food price. The study was conducted in three villages, each in Kabupaten Bekasi, Kabupaten Cianjur, and Kabupaten Banjar, from 2012 to 2016.
This research is a part of a four-year longitudinal study from 2014–2020 which aims to analyze the impact of the fixed fuel subsidy policy on the livelihood of poor women, particularly on the livelihood aspects that are the working themes of MAMPU.
This report describes the result of the qualitative socioeconomic monitoring conducted by The SMERU Research Institute toward the EINRIP road improvement in Kabupaten Sumbawa and Kabupaten Dompu in the Province of West Nusa Tenggara.
Globally, 2015 was the final year of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and the start of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), a new global development agenda. Nationally, 2015 was the start of the implementation of the Village Law, which mandates the central government to allocate a specific amount of funds to villages so that they can finance their own development programs.
The development of targeting methods for government social programs has to date experienced favorable progress. However, since the issuance of Law No. 52/2009, there has been a shift from household-based targeting to family-based targeting. This paper offers an alternative method to determine a set of comprehensive criteria for family-based targeting.
