The distribution of Village Fund (VF) has entered its third year in 2017, yet delays in distribution and disbursement continue to occur and could potentially undermine the quality of VF spending. This report serves as the final report of the Life in a Time of Food Price Volatility research project in Indonesia. Results discussed in this report are based on the third year research activities focused on changing food habits and people’s perspectives towards processed and unsafe food.
Early this year The SMERU Research Institute completed its research on food price volatility. The objective of this research was to document the experiences of the poor in facing sudden and uncertain changes in food price. The study was conducted in three villages, each in Kabupaten Bekasi, Kabupaten Cianjur, and Kabupaten Banjar, from 2012 to 2016.
