Children, Adolescence & Youth
Research Highlight
The research founds that children, regardless of their age and wealth level, are vulnerable to multidimensional deprivation. Poor children are indeed more likely to deprived; however, better financial conditions do not guarantee that non-poor children will be free from deprivation. Evidence shows that some children from nonpoor households also face barriers in accessing existing infrastructure and services.

Objectives
Research Area
Data will be collected across 20 villages in three sub-districts (Karang Terangah, Campaka, and Naringgul) in Cianjur district, West Java Province, Indonesia. These sub-districts include rural and urban/peri-urban communities.
Methodology and Data
Research Area
The study will be conducted in two districts—one in East Java Province, and the other in West Nusa Tenggara Province. The sample districts are selected purposefully through ongoing consultation with stakeholders (government at provincial, district, and kecamatan level, NGOs, and the members of ECLT) after taking into account the land area and type of tobacco farming and the profile of child labor at the district level.
