Agricultural export booms and busts have the potential to enrich or devastate rural households in developing countries. While the aggregate revenue gain depends on global prices and local supply response, little is known about how this revenue diffuses within the local economy. This paper demonstrates how resource revenue is distributed within the local economy during an agricultural export boom and bust.

Unpaid care work which is commonly performed by women have not yet been recognized as production activities. Meanwhile, care work often limits women from having equal working opportunities as men and creates multiple burdens for women that potentially reduce the quality of care they provide.

The distribution of Village Fund (VF) has entered its third year in 2017, yet delays in distribution and disbursement continue to occur and could potentially undermine the quality of VF spending. The challenge is how to develop a simple mechanism that accommodates village capacity, while upholding the principle of accountability.
