For more than four decades, Indonesia has carried out a variety of teacher professional development (TPD) programmes. Yet the outcomes have fallen short.
Our study in Teacher Professional Development in Indonesia investigates the causes of this failure from two sides. First, we examine the effectiveness of the government's most recent TPD reform, Pengembangan Keprofesian Berkelanjutan or PKB (Continuing Professional Development), and identify the factors that influence the program's effectiveness.
We summarize the findings and recommendations from the study in this infographic.
