Indonesia ratified the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) in 2011. Following this, the government revised Law No. 4 of 1997 concerning the Disabled into Law No. 8 of 2016 concerning Persons with Disabilities and developed the Disability Master Plan (RIPD) and the National Action Plan for Persons with Disabilities (RAN PD) 2020-2024.

Indonesia is committed to realizing children's rights fairly. In 2017, Indonesia has measured the situation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) related to children, the results of which are presented in a report titled "SDG Baseline Report on Children in Indonesia".
